On November 8, 2013, REAG, LLC acquired Cordeva, LLC. The acquisition by REAG adds scale to the company’s current operations in Cleveland, OH and Pittsburgh, PA while adding a new geographic presence in Detroit, MI.
REAG’s CEO, Scott Mashuda believes the acquisition provides more than just geographic expansion. “I’m particularly excited about the opportunities the acquisition of Cordeva creates for us in Cleveland. Cordeva has been in that market for a long time and has built a strong reputation under the Confidential Business Sale name.”
In addition to scaling the company’s Cleveland operation, Mr. Mashuda had this to say about the acquisition. “I’m really looking forward to introducing the REAG brand to Michigan. It’s a natural progression for us given our history of mergers and acquisitions with industrial and manufacturing clientele.”
The acquisition of Cordeva marks the first acquisition to date by REAG and begins what the founders hope is the first of many, “This is an exciting day for REAG,” said Todd Torquato, co-founder and COO. “I’d like to have this acquisition fully integrated by the end of the first quarter (2014) so that we can begin to identify additional growth opportunities.”
REAG, LLC is a private business brokerage and mergers and acquisitions firm specializing in the acquisition and sale of companies with between $1M and $25M in enterprise value. REAG was founded in May 2004 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania by Scott Mashuda and Todd Torquato. The company opened its Cleveland, Ohio office in January 2011.
Cordeva, LLC is a newly branded consolidation of business brokerage firms Confidential Business Sale, LLC and Market Point Associates, LLC. In 2003, Confidential Business Sales began operations in Youngstown, Ohio as a franchise of Sunbelt Business Brokers. The following year the business expanded to Cleveland, OH before eventually ending its affiliation with Sunbelt, and rebranding to Confidential Business Sale in 2007. In July 2011, Confidential Business Sale was sold to Cordeva, LLC. In August 2012, Cordeva, LLC acquired Market Point Associates of Plymouth, Michigan, a business brokerage founded in 2005.
