On July 21, 2014 Scott D. Mashuda and Todd A. Torquato of REAG, LLC joined over 500 middle market mergers & acquisitions professionals at the AM&AA 2014 Summer Conference to share best practices and build relationships with private equity investors, business valuators, and M&A intermediaries across the country.
The week of learning and networking included keynote presentations by Andrew Sherman, M&A Partner at Jones Day, regarding the role of intangible assets in driving corporate growth and shareholder value, as well as an update on the current economic outlook and the perceived impact on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets shared by Patrick O’Keefe, director of economic research at CohenReznick.
The week was highlighted by the interaction of industry leading M&A intermediaries with private equity investors to discuss current deal flow, opportunities to transact, and how to best assist business owners in full or partial divestiture of their corporate assets. “Maintaining close relationships with private equity sources and other M&A professionals throughout the country helps us get things done in a timely and efficient manner for our clients,” said REAG’s managing director Scott Mashuda. “The AM&AA conference is time well spent learning, meeting new people, and enhancing existing relationships,” added REAG director Todd Torquato.
